Pricing / Day rate process
Appointments are set at flat rate pricing. By booking an appointment you understand that the price for the appointment type you selected will be due on appointment day (after deposit applied, $900 for 6hr appointments, 200$ for final session appointments.). ***If for any reason you do not sit for the entire 6 hours of tattooing, the flat rate amount is still required at your appointment. In the rare case that there is an emergency and either you or Sunny must leave the appointment, you will only be charged for the hours you were tattooed.***
Extra time is set aside in every appointment for stencil placement, additional drawing, breaks, etc as part of the flat rate pricing. While tattoo time is slotted at 6 hours, please expect to be at the shop for 8 -10 hours at the most if need be . Bringing snacks, food, and drink, is always encouraged. If needed, food can be provided to you, and is already included in the appointment rate you paid. Please just ask! Sunny is more than happy to show you local food options for delivery to keep your energy up.
Deposits
All deposits go towards the total of the tattoo and are non refundable. Deposits are required for every appointment booked and are not pushed to the final appointment of the project. A 72 hour notice is required to cancel your appointment and have your deposit applied to the rescheduled date. Exceptions will be made for emergencies/ upon Sunny’s discretion. Otherwise you will forfeit your prior deposit, and be required to make another deposit when booking your next appointment. Deposits are generally never refunded unless Sunny decides to no longer work with you, or in the event that you will not be able to get tattooed for an unforeseen amount of time. (Usually this applies to health changes/ pregnancy/emergencies/deaths) If for any reason Sunny needs to cancel your appointment due to personal/ health/ emergency reasons, or unforeseen changes in her schedule, she will refund you your deposit or you can opt to have it applied to your reschedule date.
Drawing/Design Layouts
Tattoo design layouts are shown the day of your appointment. If extensive changes to the design are required Sunny will advise a reschedule. She allows up to one reschedule without forfeiting the current deposit. If the same situation occurs at the rescheduled appointment you will forfeit your deposit and be referred to another artist who may be a better match for your project. Changing your idea after a design reschedule *may* result in a forfeit of your deposit and sunny declining your project. The project you initially inquired for is what she agreed to take on, there is no guarantee she will want to take on the new idea. Please dont be afraid to ask, and just run it by her within 72 hours of your next appointment!
Tardiness/No call no show
If you are running late to your appointment please call the shop first or send and email asap to let Sunny know! Please do not reach out via instagram/dm as she is not usually one to check her social media, she receives many direct messages daily, and will not recognize or know your specific instagram handle to look for.. Sunny understands things can happen along the way, and many clients have a far drive. If 30 minutes has passed without hearing from you Sunny will consider you a no call no show. This results in being banned from her books and forfeiting your deposit.
Numbing Cream
Please do not apply numbing cream before your appointment. Due to the nature of these products they make tattooing on Sunny’s end more difficult, or prevent her from completing the tattoo. During the duration of the tattoo Sunny will be using ointments/tattoo products that have small amounts of numbing agent in them to help with pain. If you have applied a numbing cream, she will assess your skin and attempt to do the tattoo. However, at her discretion, she may cancel your appointment for the day and have you rescheduled. This will result in forfeiting your deposit for the appointment and it will not be applied to your rescheduled appointment date.
Numbing creams end up prolonging the tattoo process in two ways :
skin becomes difficult and rubbery to tattoo, it does not hold the stencil well due to ingredients in the product , skin will not react how it normally should, and in many cases is red and irritated before even starting the tattoo
There is no telling how long the numbing agent will last for each person. It can last anywhere from 30 min to 2 hrs. When the numbing agent wears off, all the pain kicks in at once, resulting in the client being at their threshold and having to stop the appointment. Sunny works in 6 hour increments so numbing cream ends up being detrimental to both her time and the clients. Clients are required to pay the full day rate whether they last the 6 hours or less.
In rare cases will sunny allow use of a numbing cream. This will be discussed if she sees it fit for your appointment.
